Looking back at the Bellecôte, Glacier gondola. Fine 1970’s gondola that is no more, you can’t even get to this part of the mountain now as they have (2025 season) have a new Live 2000 glacier gondola to the top.
The gondola lift was built in the 70s and has now been retired after 45 years of use. The Gondola with each pod taking four people sitting back to back was an unusual experience.For this upcoming season 25/26 another new gondola should be operational, from the Plagne Belecote to Roche de Mio.
